The Friends of Okeeheelee Nature Center (FONC) is a non-profit with the purpose of promoting a better understanding of the natural environment of South Florida and, in particular, of Palm Beach County. The Friends of Okeeheelee Nature Center are all volunteers who are dedicated to supporting the organization’s mission.

The Friends of Okeeheelee Nature Center runs several fundraising events each year, including Raptor Day for Nature Photography during which several raptor species are on display in a natural, outdoor setting. These portraits of the raptors were created during various Raptor Day events held from 2017 through 2025.
